## Import historical customer conversations

Bring prepared historical transcripts into CXP with original timestamps,
message authors and statuses. Create contacts and organizations first, then
import conversations by reference, preserving external IDs when useful. Imports
store the supplied history without sending messages or starting live workflows,
and report search-indexing warnings alongside the created conversation ID.
Colons are removed from supplied conversation IDs; use the returned ID for
subsequent requests and your source-to-CXP mapping.
